RĪGAS DĪZELISDG supplied 8 sets of diesel generator units for the needs of A/S “Pasažieruvilciens”. Diesel gensets made based on an individual project taking into account the latest railway technical requirements.

The first diesel train DR1AC-219 is completed, certified and commissioned in May 2016.There is an impressive diesel multiple unit (DMU) modernization project going on in Latvia with the total of 6 DR1AC trains are repowered and completely modernized up to the latest European railway standards. Trains are designed for public passenger carrier AS “Pasažieru vilciens”, Trains are designed for the interregional trafficbetween the cities of Latvia.

The project was done within the modernization process with Rīgas Vagonbūves Rūpnīca, Daugavpils Lokomotīvju Remonta Rūpnīca un VRC Zasulauks.

The modernization project consists of six diesel trains (19 cars): three-car lineup (5pcs.), four wagon composition (1pc.).

Rīgas Dīzelis DG has delivered diesel genset E140D2CZ made according to individual project for diesel trains.

As part of infrastructure modernization of the signalling and communication system of the East-West Gate of the Latvian Railway, in cooperation with “Thales Rail Signaling Solutions Baltics” Ltd, 48 automatic diesel gensets with  capacity of 20-50 kVA, mainly containerized units, were delivered and installed in a short two-year period. 

Custom stand-alone (with automatic ventilation, heating, fire extinguishing systems) container-houses were installed on various sections of the railway, including stations: Livberze, Slampe, Tukums II, Zvare, Kandava, Sabile, Stende, Naujene, Izvalda, Silava, Lichi, Spare, Usma, Ugale, Elkskene, Ventspils, Kraslava, Skaista, Niedrica, Indra, Garoza, Zalite, Iecava, Misa, Vecumnieki, Lachplesis, Tornakalns, Menta, Daugavpils, Daudzeva, Sece, Selpils, Daugava.

Railroad train undercar gensets series EA10-40D2CASZ with power range 10 - 30 kW

Auxiliary and emergency power source applicable on various types of railroad train cars such as, restaurant cars, passenger cars, firefighting and special application cars. Installed in custom designed containers with all of the necessary performance appliances, such as automatic ventilation, firefighting system and others. Mountable via special pads under the railroad train car.
