Brief History Timeline:

April, 1949 – “Riga Diesel Building Plant” was founded
November, 1950 - the first 24 hp engine, model 4h8.5/11 was produced
1951 - the first batch of diesel engines (25 pcs.) was produced
1954 - the production of diesel generators was commenced
1974 - the production of multi-fuel diesel generators was commenced
1980 - supply of diesel generators for the 1980 Summer Olympic Games in Moscow
1988 - 1990 - the amount of produced diesels and diesel generators was 14,000 pcs per year; export to 55 countries
1995 - reorganization of the company, creation of RIGAS DIZELIS DG
